DROP-IN’s + MEMBERSHIPS


IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW STUDENTS:

  • Drop-In’s are intended for those with some clay experience. Connect directly with Julie get started or see if you’re eligible.

  • Prior to your first Drop-In, you must attend a 1 hour orientation session. If there are no orientations on the schedule, please connect directly with Julie to schedule an orientation.


Booking OPTIONS:

  • Orientation *Required - 1 time fee of $50

  • 3 Hour Drop-In (unsupervised) - $25

  • 3 Hour SUPERVISED Drop-In - $45

  • 6 Hour SUPERVISED Drop-In - $80

ORIENTATION

1 Hours: $50 (+ tax)

DROP-IN

3 Hours: $25 (+ tax) per session

Drop in times are UNSUPERVISED time in the studio and are limited to 3 hour time slots.
Want more time? Just book consecutive drop-in times.

Need to purchase clay? Use the check boxes to select your clay prior to booking your time.


SUPERVISED DROP-IN

3 Hours: $45 (+ tax) per session
6 Hours: $80 (+ tax) per session (scroll down)

A great way to start your drop-in experience or to advance a project with the help of Julie or one of her assistants. Lots of tips, tricks and fun!


MONTHLY Membership

$275 (+ tax) per calendar month

This option is for those who are committed and want to dive deep into clay.

MEMBERSHIP PERKS

  • Unlimited number of drop-in sessions during a one-month period

  • You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the ceramics process and be as involved in the studio and as you like from loading to unloading kilns, learning to make glazes, preparing for workshops etc.

THE fine print - Please READ PRIOR TO BOOKING

What you get

  • Unsupervised studio time

  • Access to all of the studio’s tools and equipment including: wheels, work tables, slab roller (with assistance), underglazes and glazes, tools.

  • All firings and glazing is included with the cost of clay - ONLY clay purchased at the studio is permitted in the studio

Requirements

  • You must have previously taken at least 1 workshop with Julie over the past 2 years and be able to show sufficient skills to work independently

  • You must attend one 1 hour orientation session prior to your first time working in the studio - please register for this when you purchase your membership or first drop in time. The orientation session has a one time fee of $50.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself, including wet mopping the floor. Please plan for at least 30 minutes for clean up at the end of every session in the studio

  • Clay dust is hazardous - any work that creates excessive dust, such as sanding, must be done outside

  • You are solely responsible for your work and must wrap it to stop it from drying out. Drop-in attendees will not be charged for popping in to check on the dryness of their work

  • Work must only be left in cubbies and designated drying / storage areas - no work is to be left on wedging tables or work tables

  • Work must be taken off of bats prior to leaving

  • You must label your work clearly and in the same way as you have labelled your cubby. Unlabelled work will not be fired. All pieces of your work (ie. lids) must be labelled as they will be separated for the glaze firing

Clay, Glazing and Firing

  • Clay can be purchases at the studio. Clay purchased elsewhere is not permitted in the studio or in the kilns.

  • The bisque firing and cone 7 glaze firing is INCLUDED in the cost of your clay

  • While we wait for a better glazing set up, the cost of glazing is included in the price of the clay

  • Clay can be purchased on the website or in the studio (cash only in the studio)
